This property is set in a Victorian townhouse built in the 1890s. We are located on a NYC Open Street, which is closed to vehicular traffic. On entry, you are surrounded by lush opulent textures. Each room tells a different story. Harlem oratory at it's finest. The rooms are colourful, dramatic, unpretentious yet fun. If you are looking for a minimalist modern decor, this is not it. After a long day touring the city, you'll enjoy the cocoon your room provides. We are a no-shoe house, which helps cut down internal noise and allergens. We have the original wooden floors. Paying by cash/wire transfer cuts down the excessive credit card fees we pay. This is a hosted accommodation. I sleep on one floor, you sleep on another in the same apartment. Note the host is always on premises.

A world traveler with a dramatic flair, an eye for design. Always a little outside the box. OK, a little more than a little.

It's Harlem: Dynamic, friendly, 10 blocks north of Central Park. It is an ideal location, much more quiet than downtown, yet close to everything, 15 minutes away from Midtown. Open Streets in a new program in NYC which closes the street for cars. When the weather is warm, there is programming on the street.
