This place is a real gem, Leigh is wonderful and gave us a tour of her weavings and studio, we were even able to buy one of her pieces.

The rooms were spacious, bed was comfortable, and sitting on the porch watching the sunset over the New Mexico landscape was lovely.

As other reviewers have said, this is a charming place to relax and enjoy the area. It's perfect for those who enjoy staying somewhere off the beaten path. Leigh has decorated this rustic home with her weaving and interesting art. There are plenty...

Reminded us of our grandparents home back in the 60s. Very cozy. Loved all the wool rugs. Ceiling in kitchen was so low that I felt tall, I'm only 5'1" lol

The location is very private & secluded. And very quiet except for an occasional dog barking, but from a distance. All the necessary cooking utensils, appliances, pots & pans & dishes were made available for preparing meals!

It was funky in the best NM kind of way in a nice little neighborhood and exactly right for my needs. Quiet property, pet friendly, and close to family I come to visit.

Guest house in a traditional village and weaving studio, north of Santa Fe, next to the historic town of Chimayo. Handy for visiting northern New Mexico and good for families and small groups. 900 sq.ft. guest house is set up studio style with double bed,and single bed. There is a semi attached back bedroom(200 sq ft.) with 2 single beds and half bath. James office is also attached divided from studio by a door, stairs and another door. Beds are homemade with foam mattresses and mattress pads. Kitchen has electric burners, microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator and all cooking and eating utensils. Barbeque grill also available. Kitchen ceiling is low upon entering but rises as you move into the space. Satellite TV, DVD player, and wi-fi. This is a rural service area so wi-fi can be slow. Washer/dryer. Board games, wide variety of reading material and electric piano. This is basically a fancy cabin, not a luxurious bnb. Leigh and James live on the property and garden and work there.
Leigh is a weaver with a studio on the property which she will be glad to show you. James likes playing with mud and is building an adobe porch on their house.
Ocho Guest House is located in 20 miles north of Santa Fe, 5 miles south of Espanola , 45 miles south of Taos and 20 miles east of Abiquiu. Grocery stores and restaurants are 10 minutes away, including one of the best traditional New Mexican restaurants. The Santa Cruz river and BLM land for walking/running is at the end of the road.
