Ted has grown up working in the family businesses, The Scotlaur Inn and Chick and Ruth's Delly. He was only away for a few short years while attending college. One of Teddy's many fine accomplishments was graduating from the Culinary Institute of America and Florida International University. Beth joined the family in 1981 when she and Ted exchanged vows. Together they operate the Scotlaur Inn, Chick and Ruth's Delly, and Uncle Teddys. Beth has a passion for tennis and played for Rollins College in Florida and for the University of Maryland. In between raising their two children, Scott and Lauren, maintaining the household, and tracking the companies assets, she still manages to get a little time for her favorite pastime. Oh, and did we forget to mention taking care of the biggest kid of them all, Ted, that in itself is a full time job!

The Inn on Main offers ten beautifully decorated rooms in the heart of Annapolis, above Chick & Ruth's Delly (where breakfast is served). Hotel check in is from 3:00pm to 10:00pm. If you are arriving later, you must contact us prior to arrival for late check in procedures. You must be able to walk up the stairs to access your room. No fire of any kind in rooms or balconies.

Check in is at Chick and Ruth’s Restaurant counter any time from 3:00pm to 10:00pm. As of April 1, 2022, parking will be available in the Gott’s Court Garage located at 25 Calvert Street. We offer a 1/2 off QR code upon check in..This is a 9 minute walk or a shuttle service is offered. You may drop your bags off 1st if desired. You may also park at the Noah Hillman Parking Garage located in bacl of the Inn. Safe travels.
