Are the backwoods calling? Travel 1 mi state maintained gravel and 1 mile on uneven gravel/dirt road with potholes, to get up close and personal with nature. The cabin overlooks two wild brook trout creeks converging to one, plus a mountain ridge view! Let this forest hideaway bring tranquility or adventure. We want our guests to feel the spirit of the area and the simplicity of life: unplug, enjoy the views and let the sounds of this unique “junction” melt the stress away. We're 2 miles from pavement, ALL vehicles need 5" clearance. NOT suitable for motorcycles. No cell or WiFi. Use ONLY our directions to enjoy getting here!

We purchased "The Junction" after sharing our little glamping cabin upstream, "The Owl's Perch" (#1867396). We remodeled it, cleared the view and gave its name. We’d love to share either with you!

Experience "The Junction"! You're adventure begins when you get off the paved road. Enjoy fishing for wild brook trout, wade in the refreshing creek, hike for miles, bring your toys or be still and let the sound of our creek energize your soul! "Cherohala Skyway" (20 min) or Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest (20 min) on your bucket list? We are close to both! Experience "Tail of the Dragon/Deals Gap" (40 min), Santeetlah Lake (10 min), fish Snowbird Creek (20 min), Fontana Lake and dam (40 min), marinas for boat rentals (30 min), several waterfalls, hiking trails and overlooks, Stecoah Gap AT Trail and birding trail (40 min), Smoky Mountain National Park/Cades Cove entrance (2 hrs), Nantahala whitewater rafting (40 min), Cheoah rafting (30 min), Slingshot and motorcycle rentals (40 min), casinos (40 min), caves (2 hrs), and several artisan shops in the county.
