Located on Kaloli Point, a quiet peninsula just south of the town of Hilo. in the Hawaiian Paradise Park sub-devision. The Whale House is a stand-alone residence for one guest, families or group. A truly unique house built directly on top of an ancient lava flow. Unlike all other houses in the area, a tractor did not level the lava to build a structure. The Whale House is constructed entirely on original, untouched lava flow just yards from the Pacific Ocean. The Whale House has a wrap around deck offering stunning ocean views on the front, garden views from the back and across from miles of magnificent lava sea cliffs. Trailheads begin one minute from across the Whale House and reveal tide pools, arches, and deep cool jungles. The Whale House can be rented by one guest, family or group. You can rent a single bedroom or all four, but either way, you have private access to the entire property and will never have to share with other vacationers. Kaloli Point has the best weather on the East Side of the Big Island...Some say better than Kona. The Whale House is equipped with a full size kitchen, a dishwasher, washer and dryer. There are two identical master suites upstairs, each with its own private bathrooms. There are two bedrooms downstairs both sharing a common bathroom. There is an outdoor Bamboo enclosed hot shower with ocean views for rinsing off the days stresses away. Amenities included are, hammock, bicycles, snorkel gears, ice coolers, beach chairs, golf clubs and propane BBQ.

We fell in love with the Whale House the first time we saw it and wanted to share it with you its stunning ocean views, cool trade winds, magnificent lava cliffs and miles of coastline trails. During the whale migration season (Oct-Feb), you can see and hear migrating whales from the spacious wrap around lanai.

The Whale House is located in a quiet residential neighborhood surrounded by million dollar homes. The Whale House sits across a small street (about 100 yards) from the ocean cliffs, accessible (guest only) via it's own private lot. With direct access, just outside your front door, to miles of dramatic ocean views and lava cliffs. You can hike along the dramatic shorelines, where you might see sea turtles, whales and dolphins swimming by. Or, explore one of the many nearby trails on bike or on foot. Enjoy the many trails right outside your door on bicycles or on foot discovering tide pools, sea arches and cool jungles. The Town of Pahoa is an easy car drive nearby with its bustling center and farmer's market. All major shopping centers, attractions, restaurants and activities are within 20 -30 minutes in either directions from the house.
