My husband originally build our lovely home in 2012/13, overlooking Walker-Bay in De Kelders Gansbaai(Western Cape) South Africa. Gansbaai is a small fishing village in the Overberg. It was Syewarts retirement dream to have a Guest House by the sea. When my husband bought the plot he did not know that the Southern Right Whales come to calf annually in the bay and uses the bay as a nursing spot for their calves - right in-front of the house. We both well traveled, I,m South African and my hubby British. A Guest House sounded perfect as we both love people and would be able to relate to other travelers. So that's what we did and we love it !!
