The pretty Abalone Guest Lodge is a 4-star property at Sievers Point, right on the cliffs overlooking Hermanus Bay, an ideal spot for whale-watching. This small guesthouse has 5 tastefully decorated and comfortable guest rooms. All rooms have private bathrooms with a private balcony or patio. Guests can also enjoy panoramic sea and mountain views from their rooms. The guesthouse serves a full breakfast each morning and whales can actually be spotted from the terrace as you dine outdoors. Abalone Guest Lodge is halfway between the center of town and the beautiful sandy beaches of Hermanus. The scenic cliff path to the front of the hotel is a unique whale-watching spot.

Abalone Lodge offers an upmarket service to all our guets. We do have direct access to the cliff path. Our guests can either walk into town or to the beach.
As a manager at one of the Shell Lodges, I think we are very priviledge to work for such a beautiful group. Every day we deal with different nationalities, meet new people and learn more about their culture. We are situated right in front of Sievers Point, excellent whale watching spot. I often go for a run on the cliff path in front of the lodge. Bautiful scenery.
As mentioned, we have direct access to the cliff path. Ideal fora morning run, or a late afternoon stroll into town for dinner. Sievers Point infront of the lodge makes this an excellent position for whale watching.
