Lock your car away in the garage and there is no need to look at it again until you depart, unless you are going to explore the areas around Hermanus. The area is quiet but in easy walking distance to all amenities - restaurants, cafes, shops, cliff path and the scenic promenade. An abundance of trees provides a haven for many bird species and a gentle flowing water feature in the garden, under the old oak tree, adds to the peaceful ambiance of this beautiful property. We have been privileged to live and work in this beautiful town for 25 years and thoroughly enjoy all it has to offer, the annual return of the majestic Southern Right whales never ceases to amaze us. The fantastic wine farms, hiking trails in the Fernkloof nature reserve and along the Cliff path, as well as strolling along the endless sandy beached fills us with so much joy and gratitude that we would like to share it with you. We love to travel, both locally and abroad but camping and 4x4ing in Namibia, Botswana and out own Kruger Park rate right up there for us.

Acorn Cottage is situated in the much sought after leafy suburb of Eastcliff. It is bordered by the mountain on one side and sea on the other. The suburb is very quiet, safe and secure and is a few blocks to all amenities – there is no shortage of restaurants, bistros and coffee shops and for those who prefer a little retail therapy there are many quaint shops, unique clothing boutiques, art galleries and a daily African market which at weekends expands into an arts and craft market selling all kinds of interesting things. A large shopping mall is less than 1 kilometre up the road and just down the road is the smaller but convenient Eastcliff Spar.
