Benmonca Cottage is a spacious 2 bedroom cottage, ideal for families or friends. We are on a working ostrich farm. Cottage is fully equipped, an indoor and outdoor fireplace, garden, and enough space to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of farm life.
I am a full time host and give 100% to my guests. I will meet you in person and when I cannot be here, my husband Morné, will meet you. We want you to enjoy your time with us and make wonderful memories. Looking forward to meeting you and being your hosts.
We are a farming community, about 8km outside of Oudtshoorn. Mostly ostrich farming. You can ask beforehand, and Morné will give you an informal tour of the farm and ostriches (at an extra cost). We also have a ostrich leather factory and shop (KAR0 Leather) on the property. Here you can see how our leather goods are being made. You can buy the products in our shop. The well known Karoo Lusern is only 3 km from us. Here you can buy the best meat in the area. The view of the Swartberg Mountain is beautiful, and our Karoo sunsets are just breathtaking. Be sure to pack your camera.
