Nestled at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains, Black Sunbird offers a serene escape in the historic town of Heidelberg. Often described as the 'Gateway to the Garden Route,' our neighborhood is a haven for those who appreciate slow living and natural beauty. Adventure awaits just a short drive away at the Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve, where you can hike through ancient indigenous forests. If you prefer a quieter pace, enjoy a morning stroll along the Duiwenhoks River or explore the town’s quaint art studios and coffee shops. Whether you're stopping over on a Cape-to-Knysna road trip or settling in for a peaceful retreat, the 'platteland' charm of Heidelberg will stay with you long after you leave.

I admire the birds and the buck that sometimes wonder through here. This house is a blessing to be part of Heidelberg Wc Nature Garden with the Aloe's on the right hands site. I have baked my own health welcoming treat to indulge.
