The Macaron team are attentive and ready to ensure your stay will be pleasant and memorable. The team is led by the friendly Nadia Ihle as General Manager and her dedicated team. Our management is ready to assist with all your requirements may it be restaurant reservations, transport requirements, local information or just what to do in the Franschhoek valley.

Property info

The property consists of two parts with an established lush garden. The main house is an old Victorian building that dates back from 1861. The refurbished rooms combined with its soft earthy tones sets the mood for a relaxed atmosphere. Here you will find new and old created stylishly to make you feel welcome to the winelands. Two salt water swimming pools are a real retreat in the lush garden for those hot summer days.

Neighborhood info

We are in a safe and quiet neighbourhood, in the heart of town. The guesthouse is in the centre of Franschhoek a stone- throw from the main road. The shops and most restaurants are all within walking distance and once arrived once can just settle put your bags down and take a slow walk up the road. The atmosphere in this lovely neighbourhood allows you to take in the tranquil surrounds giving you that instant feeling of relaxation. You will be spoilt for choice on what to do, be it strolling the main road, wine tasting, hiking La Motte Wine Estate or Mont Rochelle, visiting arts and crafts market, hop-on-off the Franschhoek Wine Trams, and much to do etc.
