Eastcliff Cottage is part of an original Hermanus home, built in 1940, with beautiful Oregon floors and ceiling. This unique self catering unit, sleeping 2 people, is situated in the heart of Eastcliff, and is within very easy walking distance of the village centre and seafront. The cottage is central, secluded, secure and romantic, with a touch of luxury. It is a peaceful retreat for those who enjoy privacy. The spacious, open plan living area has a king-size bed which can be separated into twin beds. French doors lead onto a wooden deck, which overlooks a lovely forested garden with exceptional birdlife. Leading off the living area, are a separate romantic bathroom with a Victorian bath and walk in shower, and a compact, well equipped kitchen with granite tops We offer luxury percale linen, fluffy white cotton towels, complimentary tea and coffee, selected Dstv channels, Wi-Fi, Weber braai and secure off-street parking.
I am married and have lived in the beautiful town of Hermanus for 30 years. My children are grown up and I have 3 grandchildren living in Hermanus and they visit often. I enjoy walking, swimming , reading and gardening . I am an artist and I draw and paint when I have spare time ! I love an outdoor life and my favourite holidays are at Game Reserves or in rural villages in South Africa. I do enjoy preparing meals and like to grow my own herbs.
Eastcliff Cottage is situated in the beautiful leafy suburb of Eastcliff, near Hoy’s Koppie and the historic Old Station Building. We are only a few minutes walk from the sea front, the magnificent Marine Tidal Pool and the cliff paths which offer the best land-based whale watching in the world. The nearby village centre, with shops, restaurants, art galleries, drop-off laundry and the famous Saturday Craft Market are all within easy walking distance of the cottage, The famous Saturday Morning market is a 10 minute walk up the road and the pristine , blue flag Grotto Beach a 7km drive in the car. Hermanus boasts a world class Golf Court and the renowned Fernkloof Nature reserve is a mere 5 km from the Cottage.
