My name is Robyn and I am a local resident of Franschhoek with a Property Mangement business operating for the past 5 years. I am an avid birder (so ask me if you are interested in birds) and I travel overseas regularly.

Our large 4 bedroom family farm house is situated in close proximity to the village of Franschhoek but is very private and surrounded by orchards and mountain views. It has plenty of seating space in 2 lounges and a large farm kitchen fully equipped with everything you would need to self-cater for your family and friends. The 4 bedrooms have comfortable beds with quality linen. One bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower as well as toilet and hand basin. This room has a private entrance on the side of the main house. The 3 rooms in the main house share two bathrooms with 2 showers, 1 bath and 2 toilets. The huge outdoor area is fabulous for family gatherings. Plenty of seating space on the wrap around patio for you to find a quiet spot to read or relax. The eco-pool is situated in the garden alongside the pool bar which has glassses etc for your use and enough space for you to store your own beverages. Seating space is plentiful in the bar. Above the bar is a wonderful tree deck with dining area offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and a unique, fun space for the family or friends to gather to share a meal, or just chill out. Large expansive lawn garden with trampoline, volley ball net and lots of space for kids to run around and have fun. Our farm house is off the grid and has solar and inverters for constant electricity supply. Ample parking in the front of the house, security alarm and outside cameras for your peace of mind and keyless door lock are in place.

The farm house is opposite a prestigeous private school and also alongside the Berg River which flows from the mountains surrounding the village of Franschhoek, all the way to Velddrift 270kms away on the west coast. Franschhoek village is 10 minutes drive from the farm and is very well known as the Gourmet Capital of South Africa due to our miriad of world-class restaurants. We are surrounded by wine farms and you will have an enormous variety of wine tasting opportunities and of course, dining in some of the wine farm restaurants. The mountains are fabulous and various hiking trails are available and the Berg River Dam is a great place to take a walk. The Huguenot Museum and Monument are in the village as well as the Perfume Museum. The village has a huge number of art galleries to peruse. The Village Market is held each week-end, weather permitting as it is outside in the historic NG Church property. Music, good food, wine, cocktails and great arts and crafts, books, jewelry and clothing are to be found, so don't miss it! For sports lovers, we have a number of pubs that will screen sporting events on the big screen with lots of atmostphere and comeradery. Late night entertainement after the restaurants close can be found at the Mad Hatter pub and the Station Pub. They are open all day and serve good pub food and live music every weekend and Karaoke on a Friday night at the Station. We also have a lawn bowling club where you are welcome to book to play social bowls, a really fun activity for your group. The pub is also open at the club and they serve great pizzas.
