Gecko Cottage soaks up the country atmosphere while offering all the home comforts, with beautiful views across Franschhoek valley. Beautiful evenings spent in the lapa under the trees where you can braai while enjoying the peace and serenity. The garden is 3ha of indigenous Fynbos with a Labyrinth and a stunning swimming dam fed with mountain water. Fire place with wood supplied for cosy fireside sitting in kitchen. Easy walking distance to town. Quiet and private and one of the few pet friendly accommodation options in the village.

Franschhoek is a stunning little village where everything is within walking distance and near-by. It's beautiful and picturesque, surrounded by 3 mountain ranges. The valley has its own unique micro-climate and we can get all seasons in one day! The village is safe and quiet and the locals are very welcoming to our visitors. Walk around, explore, hang out where the locals are and have a great holiday with us. All parking in the village is free! In the main road, at the big church in the main road and also in the side streets. Just make sure you park only in the direction you are travelling. Do not cross the road to park on the other side facing oncoming traffic. It is safe to walk around freely during the day but we do not encourage you to walk home at night, just to be sure. Do not leave any valuables in your car and don't leave your doors open or unlocked at night or when you are not there. Just common sense stuff.
