Property info

This newly renovated cottage (built in 1940’s), blends old world charm with a contemporary touch. Situated on a big estate nestled between historic Norfolk trees in Voëlklip, a prestigious sought-after suburb in Hermanus, it is one of the best located holiday accommodation in the area – only a street crossing to Langbaai beach and within a kilometer of all popular beaches. It is also within short walking distance to a popular restaurant, grocery store, nature reserve and hiking trails. Both bedrooms have lovely views onto a large garden. One bedroom can be made up with either a king bed or 2 x single beds, depending on your needs. The other bedroom has a double bed. There is a cozy fireplace inside for winter and for summer days, a lovely private outside entertainment area at the back on a wooden deck with a big braai / fireplace and great views of the mountain. There is another self catering home - Norfolkden Beach house - at the front of the estate, however, the cottage is completely separate with its own private entrance, parking, entertainment area and garden at the back. Both houses can be rented at the same time for large groups so feel free to check availability for both

Voëlklip is a the most beautiful, safest and quietest suburb in Hermanus with all the best beaches in the area. Right at the back of the suburb is Fernkloof nature reserve, boasting a beautiful mountain range, hiking trails, rivers and waterfalls and at the front, a range of the best beaches in the Overberg to choose from. Getting around Distances from the cottage: 500m to Lizette's kitchen (a highly rated restaurant in Hermanus) 300m to the OK grocery store. 260m to Langbaai beach 700m to Kamma beach 850m to Voëlklip beach 1,4km drive or walk to Dutchies beachfront restaurant and cocktail bar on Grotto beach 4 km to Hermanus town centre. Taxi services are available.
