After great effort and trying really hard we are still completely indecisive on which side of the village offers the most spectacular views, the West side or the East side, maybe even North. Mountain biking through the valleys and mountains on the West side of Franschhoek is really exciting but not without challenges, in fact it becomes rather technical at times. But few things compare to the joy and contentment of riding through rows and rows of vineyards on horseback. A lazy afternoon spent under large oak trees breathing in the clean air and enjoying one of the world class meals that has become synonymous with this area is a real treat. Every experience around this area is special, it is such a blessing living in a valley as breathtaking as Franschhoek.

Indigenous birds are regular visitors to the garden and if you stay long enough you will see the local resident squirrels.

There are so many things to do and see within a short walking distance of Le Petit Paris that a couple of days are often not nearly enough to fit it all in. The Huguenot museum with its artifacts, monument and stunning gardens is a must see. The wine tram is just down the road so there is no need to drink and drive. The tram visits various wine estates and offer guests the opportunity to visit fascinating cellars, taste their favorite wines and see the impressive wine estates of the valley. A short walking distance away you will find the main road of Franschhoek lines with unique shops, coffee shops, restaurants, pubs and art galleries. Le Petit Paris is so close that you can shop until you drop and you don't have to carry your shopping very far at all. From early in the morning until late at night you will find residents, cyclists, runners and people from all over the world enjoying the outdoors, there is a new view around every corner.
