Welcome to our humble establishment and family home. We enjoy simple living with just the basics in life, love, caring , laughter and food. We enjoy listening to your travels and enjoy chatting to and cooking for our guests. we offer local family recipe foods. You are most welcome to join in in gardening to relax or share a favorite way of planters , etc. we love cooking and often our guests will bake or prepare a recipe from their home or travels. Feel free to interact please. Our area offers lovely mountain and main road running and cycling. We are surrounded by beautiful scenic mountains , within close proximity to award winning wine farms and restaurants.

We are a first generation family owned, coloured tourism business in a previously disadvantaged culturally rich village and welcoming community - called Johannesdal, Pniel, and through hosting you and your family and friends to leave a legacy for our children and those of our staff. With no official schooling in business we learn as we go along - mostly from you as our kind, well travelled guests. Our community is barely fenced in and are most welcoming to all who cross their paths in our street, Lumley Avenue. We are amidst family homes and laughter, voices and sounds of children playing are often heard. We are adjacent a few new developments and have the continuous battle of their building dust that might settle on the pool , patio etc and we tend to it daily and best we can. Our village is well sought after by families

Neighborhood info

Johannesdal, Pniel is a village in Cape Winelands District Municipality in the Western Cape province of South Africa. A Settlement and Dutch Reformed mission station between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, established in 1843. The name is of biblical origin, referring to the place where Jacob wrestled with God; it means ‘face of God’ Our Guesthouse is amongst a lot of developments in our village and sometimes dust are settling overnight on the pool , or cars etc. We tend to those as often as we can , clearing the dust from couches, managing the pool, etc. Unfortunately beyond our control. the locals are extremely friendly and has often invite a guest into their home for tea, or a meal, yes it happens. PLEASE NB to note we were born here, thus opened our business here as well thus the LOCATION of our business is perfect , its geographical, its SA historical, thus do not complain over where I am situated. I was planted here by God. Many people give 2 or 1 for location that is an insult to me as a host. I didn't choose it. Its God ordained.
