Maggie's Gift is a modern, romantic and luxurious Guest Cottage situated in a floriferous, landscaped formal garden with views to the mountains. Fully equipped to high standard for self catering, the cottage has a lovely kitchen with oven, hob and dishwasher, a gorgeous and romantic main bedroom with a stunning en suite bathroom (shower), and a well equipped lounge with a small dining table which looks out onto a covered patio with built in daybeds , across the gardens to the mountains; The second bedroom has 2 single beds or a king size bed and opens onto the gardens, and has a lovely bathroom with shower. There is latte covered carport and a separate entrance apart from the main cottage, to which Maggie's Gift is attached on one side.
McGregor is a quirky little village which time forgot, on the Road to Nowhere in the beautiful Breede River Valley of Wine & Roses on the Route 62 Wine Route, which is claimed to be the longest Wine Route in the world. Maggie's Gift is situated at the secure top end of the village, within easy walking distance of excellent restaurants and small shops. Opening Hours of shops and restaurants are limited - especially in the evenings - and there is no Woolworths, Pick & Pay, Spar, Pharmacy, Clicks etc in McGregor, so it is best to bring your supplies into the village with you or do your shopping at the Spar Centre in Robertson which is just 15 minutes from McGregor. Typically small country villages start to close down from about 3pm daily, so try to arrive as early as possible if you wish to have coffee or a light meal and explore the village.
