The property is beautiful and quiet! The sleeping room is adjacent to the main house and it’s so cute and well decorated with a super comfortable bed. Everything is new and super clean. We had fresh grained coffee, cookies, granola and milk available to us for breakfast. We sat in the garden to have breakfast, the garden is a dream, surrounded by trees and flowers. We loved it! The hosts are a lovely couple, was very nIce to chat with them and get tips of where to go on our trip and what to do. They also have a dog called Daisy and two cats, one of them is called sugarbaby. We love animals, It was fantastic. Highly recommended.

What Guests Said About Greyton:

Greyton is attractive especially if you take time to walk down side roads and explore its natural beauty. For the most part it is tranquil, but it can get quite busy at times in the upper half of the main hub. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from of varying standards. Given that it is just a little upmarket village, it is not unusual that there are hardly any shops for necessities or niceties. In light of that, the OK Minimart is pretty decent though. Be warned, there are no clothes shops (except for second hand clothing). So if you have forgotten something, you can look forward to a long, long trip to Calendon! On the whole, a tranquil picturesque village that is well worth a visit.

Greyton is a lovely little town and easy to access from Cape Town. We love exploring the different hiking trails and the rangers at the Greyton Nature Reserve are friendly and helpful. We enjoy strolling down to the local OK and browsing through their lovely range of food, making our pick of the day. The centre of town is exciting to explore with loads of restaurant options. A perfect midweek breakaway that can be put on repeat!

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Abby Rose.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Abby Rose. The staff were excellent and went out of their way to assist when one of us fell ill due to existing health problems. The clinic sister was also wonderful. The market was enjoyable on Saturday and our accommodation was lovely including the wonderful garden.

A beautiful sleepy town, ideal for when one wants to recharge one's batteries. The village market on the Saturday is a big attraction as well - food, art, jewellery, clothing, books, vegetables, fruit... For outdoor enthusiasts there is the mountain, nature reserve, surrounding farms.

Greyton is a lovely little town to visit. The people are friendly and the little shops were lovely to visit. All the horses in and around the town was an experience. We also enjoyed the visit to the Genadendal museum

Felt like we were going back in time! So rustic, tranquil and relaxing. Blessed to know that places like this still exist! Horses roaming the streets, local markets and most venues, pet friendly! What more can one ask for?

Lovely cottage, close to nature reserve for lovely walks around it. Greyton is a lovely small town worth a few days to explore, great coffee shops, restaurants and quirky galleries. Everyone is really friendly from being met at check in by Nicky who explains everything and let's you know anything special going on at the time of your visit. All in all a great stay, would have liked to have stayed a little longer.

Walking distance to the main road. Peaceful and quiet area. Accommodation was cozy. The electric blanket was a great surprise as Greyton was extremely cold.
