A self-catering forest cabin on the Whale Coast, hidden in a milkwood forest in Kleinbaai. You won't see the ocean — you'll hear it: the surf, the Danger Point foghorn, and in season, the blow of southern right whales just down the road. The cabin is built for winter as much as summer. A wine barrel hot tub stands under the trees — light the fire in the afternoon and soak after dark with steam rising into the cold air. Inside, an indoor braai and fireplace mean braai night happens in the warm, whatever the weather is doing outside. The cabin sleeps two to four (adjust to actual capacity) with a full self-catering kitchen, comfortable beds, and a private forest stand with no neighbours in sight. Gansbaai and De Kelders — among the world's best land-based whale watching spots (June–November) — are 10–15 minutes away. Hermanus and the Stanford wine route are within easy reach for day trips. This is a slow-travel cabin with a two-night minimum: made for couples and small families who want fires, forest, whales, and quiet rather than a one-night stopover.

Kleinbaai is one of the prime destinations for shark cage diving globally. The harbour where the bots launch is about 600m from the house. That is not all that is great here though, the area is famous for whale watching and there are boat tours to view them more closely. You could also view Dyer Island which is a conservation area. The town is small and quaint with many beautiful properties and a great golf course. There is a 4x4 trail and many other fun activities for the whole family. Kleinbaai sports 2 classy restaurants, the Great White House form where boats train those brave enough to venture the ocean, for landlubbers they can also get their kick from diving with Crocs at the other restaurant, Afrikanos.
