Step back into a simpler time when you stay in this charming one-bedroomed Heritage cottage, built in 1895.
Old Corner Cottage has a wood-burning fireplace for cosy winter evenings and in McGregor's hot summers its thick, mud-brick walls, reed ceilings and thatched roof keep it deliciously cool. The private, shaded courtyard garden, crisp white linen and uncluttered, whitewashed walls complete the picture of a calm, cool retreat.
Enjoy complimentary seasonal fruit from surrounding farms, as well as tea, coffee and rusks. The galley kitchen is equipped for self catering while the sheltered courtyard is ideal for braaing under McGregor's clear, starry night skies.
Old Corner Cottage is located next to the koppies, making it ideally positioned for nature walks and hikes. It's within easy walking distance of village restaurants, galleries and the weekly McGregor market. Cyclists and runners have easy access to cycle tracks and dirt roads to nearby wine farms.
Guided walks of the natural surroundings and the village can be arranged on request.
I love welcoming guests to our little Heritage cottage and sharing the peaceful charm of McGregor. It’s always a pleasure seeing people slow down, unwind, and soak up the village atmosphere, quiet streets and mountainous surroundings.
Guests enjoy the quiet yet convenient position. Stroll to the centre of the village in a few minutes, or walk across the road and enjoy the Karoo vegetation on the koppies. Some easy walks, or more strenuous trail runs, and networks of mountain biking trails are literally on your doorstep.
