Property info

Oude Wellington has the Hawequa Mountain range as backdrop and its own little valley with vineyards and Cape Dutch buildings. A winery, Distillery, Spa and countryside to see or experience. Our Restaurant serving lunch and dinner is on the same premises but is a separate business. We have a gentle giant St. Bernard and an older Boerbul. They are the protectors of the farm and possessive about the manor house and breakfast area. Please don’t let your pet into the manor house/reception. We also have beautiful talkative exotic parrots with strong voices. During the day they chatter or sing (“I believe I can fly”) or shout at each other. During the night they sleep. Please keep a distance to the aviaries - but do enjoy the birds' beauty. Enjoy a stroll to our dam past the horses' grazing fields, or relax at the pool, play big chess or table tennis.

Neighborhood info

We are surrounded by wine farms, mountain passes with ample opportunities for mountain biking and hikes. Rock pools, leather factories and museums to visit
