It is such a privilege to stay in this part of the world: when you visit I hope that you will truly experience the peace and natural beauty and get food for your soul! I have been living on the farm for two years with my two loving and lively dogs. We have a few chickens that lay fresh eggs daily and this city girl tries her best to cultivate fresh veg for your future stays!

Located in the beautiful Overberg in the shadow of the Riviersonderend mountains, Plumtree Farm offers guests a relaxing getaway on a small farm on the banks of the Sonderend river, just 2 km from the N2. Currently only used for the cultivation of oats, the farm offers guests self-catering units in the 150-year old farmstead. Each of the units has a private kitchen/kitchenette that is equipped with a microwave, a fridge, tea- and coffee-making facilities, as well as a dining area. Some of the units also have a stove or an oven. The units all have private entrances and open onto a patio/balcony where guests can relax. A communal swimming pool and braai facilities are available in the courtyard.

Neighborhood info

Guests can enjoy fishing in the river, and the surrounding area is ideal for cycle and motorcycle enthusiasts. Riviersonderend is just 5 km away and offers basic groceries, a liquor store and two coffee shops. The picturesque town of Greyton, named "Town of the year" in 2021, is 30km away on a scenic dirt road and offers many restaurants, art galleries and a Saturday morning market. Hermanus and Arniston are both 80km away and Swellendam 50km.
