The apartment is furnished in an elegantly old fashioned way.. There is lots of paintings , because I love art. It has a private entrance with stoep and garden where you can relax after a long day in your vehicle or at the beach . We farm with wheat , sheep and have a dairy from which you can get fresh milk every day. There is a short trail and a birdhide on the farm to explore the abundant birdlife , especially the Cape Vulture , Blue Crane and Agulhas Clapper larks.
Living on a farm , so far from the nearest town is idyllic and also has it's challenges. I have to plan very carefully when I go shopping once a week. I am a keen gardener and do painting for a hobby. We have three children - the eldest started working this year , one is at University and the youngest in High School, All my children had to go to boarding school from a young age.
The best thing about our neighbourhood is the De Hoop Nature Reserve ! The farm is at the foothills of the Potberg Mountain. There is very nice short hiking trails in the mountain where you can explore the 'fynbos' and have a fantastic view of the area. It is 15km to the main entrance to De Hoop. During May to November hundreds of Whales can be seen at Koppie Alleen. There is lots of activities , a nice restaurant , or you can just relax on the beach or the dunes.
