RoamRooiberg is close to the most exquisite wedding venues of the area. The access road is a jeep track that needs to be driven with caution. Low clearance vehicles are not suitable. Small cars can manage but the driver must go slowly and cautiously. The 380Ha property is home to a large variety of birds plants and animals. The diverse flora will amaze any nature lover. Flowering season is a feast to the eye. Guests can make use of the hiking trails on the farm as well as the excellent mountain bike trails. Trail runners enjoy the mountain trails. The trails pass on the doorstep of the guesthouse.Rental kayaks are available for use on the farm dam. The wooden deck in front of the guesthouse offer unique views of the nearby Langeberg mountain. Coffee, tea,milk, sugar, rusks and bottled water are provided. We are a proud "green" facility, being completely off-grid. All electicity supplied by a solar system. The hot water for your shower is supplied by gas heating. The 2 bedroom house has a full kitchen equipped with gas stove, micowave oven, fridge/freezer and electric kettle. A braai deck with built-in braai and splash pool allows you to enjoy the view from a different angle. Open plan living area opens onto the deck with sliding doors. The guesthouse is 150m from the farm homestead. You can park alongside the farm vehicles on the parking area behind the guesthouse. There is a fully equipped cycling shop in the workshop behind the guesthouse

Our evening scorpion walks are exceptionally popular. Jacques is a skilled bicycle technician, and is available to fulfill any cyling related needs.

Our area is filled to the brim with worthwhile activities and interesting places to visit. Guests can partake in wine tasting and -pairing at the area's best wineries like Springfield, Viljoensdrift, Van Loveren, Rooiberg, Robertson Winery, Kranskop, Graham Beck and Excelsior. A visit to Robertson could include the Art Gallery, the well maintained Dutch Reformed Church with its beautiful architecture dating from the mid 1800's , the well-known Birds Paradise with it's variety of animal life, the well stocked Affie Plaas Farm Stall as well as a variety of shops and businesses supplying from basic needs to exquisite items. Robertson is home to some of the best restaurants.Walking distance from the Red chair bistro gives you opportunity to enjoy the kid's park, good coffee and delicious breakfasts and lunches as well as the deli. A meal at Bourbon Street, Four Cousins, Bon Courage, Excelsior, Saggy Stone will satisfy the most demanding pallet. The area provides wonderful opportunities to all levels of sportsmen and those enjoying the outdoors. We have some of the best cycling trails available, those who love watersports can canoe the Breede River, while hikers can ascend Arrangieskop for an exhillirating walk in the mountains. Golfers can take a swing on the Silverstrand course for an enjoyable day.
