Newly built self catering accomodation units just One hour and 40min from Cape Town. We tried to make the units with a feel of "home away from home". It is ideal for guests who just want to lock up and go all day or having a family and friends breakfast or dinner together. Has a communal boma braain area as well as an enclosed cozy braai room in each unit for the colder days. Quiet and relaxing, walking distance from the beach. NO grass, only gravel - walk paths to be used. If a rest is what you need,then this is the destination for you. Each unit has a motion detector alarm so hopefully a "no worry" vacation. The units consist of 1 Bedroom with 1 x Queen size bed (Extra lengt), 1 x double bunk bed in the bedroom and a double sleeper couch in the open living area for two more adults) Slleep 4 adults and two children, en-suite bathroom (shower/basin/toilet), kitchenette with stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, cutlery, flat screen TV, free wifi, Netflix, streaming - NO DSTV, braai room with table & chairs. Parking on premises. Velddrif Spar, butchery and bakery is approx 10-12kms decide. Bicycles to rent at a shop close by. Will have wood available to purchase

We are a small "business" with only 2 units, reason being, we "enjoy" our guests, love to interact with people from all over, sometimes social with then at the outside boma, by invite only as we give our guests their much needed space to relax. The sunrise and sunsets here are spectacular. We are walking distance from the beach +-3-400m. You will find things to do and towns to visit in the folder in your unit and everything else that you need, but if you have a question that isn’t covered in there, we will gladly assist. If you’re ready to step out and explore the area, our Guesthouse is conveniently located within:- 14 min (14,3 km) via Main Rd, Laaiplek 17 min (13,5 km) via Main Rd from Velddrif, 39 min (40,9 km) via Main Rd and R399, St Helena Baai 43 min (52,1 km) via R27, Langebaan 47 min (52,5 km) via R399, Paternoster 53 min (53,2 km) via R399, Saldanha 1 h 4 min (59,3 km) via R399, Tietiesbaai camping site 39 min (54,1 km) via Main Rd/R366, Elandsbaai
Dwarskersbos has endless white beaches and the sea is full of seals, dolphins and whales. This coastal village is on the West Coast and boasts a wealth of activities such as swimming, hiking, fishing, bird watching. Birdwatching enthusiasts can take a 10-minute walk to the Berg River Valley in Velddrif, where pelicans, flamingos, blue cranes, herons, endangered black taboos and European beetles are found. There are also bird shelters in the Rocherpan Nature Reserve, about 10 minutes drive in the direction of Elands Bay. 4x4 trails are available in the area and mountain bikers can explore the dirt roads. Here you can experience the tranquility of the West Coast with its beautiful sunsets and discover the treasures of the West Coast in the area. During June&September, visitors to the Dwarskersbos will be able to see the southern northern whale We are driving distance from: Langebaan/Mykonos/West Coast National Park/St. Helena Bay / Shelley Point / Velddrif / Port Owen / Piketberg / Vredenburg / West Coast Mall / Fossil Park - Langebaan / Paternoster / Tietiesbaai / Jacobs Bay / Saldanha / Elands Bay and for the "adventurous".....a day drive to Riebeeck Kasteel is a MUST!
