Saldanha is a nice cool place. Easy to get shops.

Saldanha is a nice cool place. Easy to get shops. The weather was a problem. What a beautiful, huge house! Lounge and rooms spotless, beds made with fresh green linen, and a perfectly clean pool. We threw a pool party and had the best time. The staff and host were so kind, warm, and full of smiles - the host especially is a humble, sweet guy. Great communication and clear updates throughout. Absolutely breathtaking place. We’ll definitely return soon. Saturday night we went to Garage Pub, to enjoy ourselves via The West cool place ever.

my stay at Saldanha hotel was absolutely amazing - the perfect blend of comfort and hospitality. staff warm and welcoming, made it even more special exceeded my expectations - excellent service and wonderful stay. from reception staff right through to the cleaners/maintenance - chefs - everyone is amazing.

Saldanha is a quiet fishing and mining town with lots of interesting places to see. The local fish monger has the best fish and chips. The Weskus Mall is close by with good shops to visit. We visited the fossil museum close by which has very interesting exhibits.

The town does not have much going. there should be things to do for people booking in. I was there for a different reason. my Mother passed away. so still i would not do a holiday to the town. we are very active people and love to do activities. I will come back to see someone. Or when passing by stop and overnight. I felt that overall the town needed more life.

Our first impression when we walked in was that it looked very presentable, clean, neat and like it had all the amenities. The bedroom had no views because all the sea views are only from the dining area. The accomodation is central and close to surrounding towns. The wifi was not working for the first 3 days, the place was not thoroughly cleaned, it had small spiders, spiderwebs and tiny cockroaches. The security there is very poor because our car was broken into and valuables stolen. The room door does not have a security gate and the room does not lock easily, the bathroom needs a shelf by the hand wash basin for toothbrushes and hand soap. The stove did not work and we told the ladies that worked there but they did not bother about it. The shower and hand wash basins were clogged. The manager and the owner were only reachable by phone and never once apologised for any of our concerns or complaints. The bed is very hard and has a hard DIY base, a real bedbase would have been better.

Saldanha is a beautiful place to visit or live, the people are amazingly kind and the place has beautiful beaches and for those who love nature this place is a must visit. There are alot of things you can do for the duration of you stay there. There is a Mystery Room fun to be. The food at the local restaurant is perfect and it’s easy to get around.

Our time at Jane’s Guesthouse was just wonderful. We loved the beautiful beach views and how close everything was to the water, and the friendly staff made us feel right at home from the beginning. The room was bright, clean, and comfortable, and waking up to the ocean was a highlight of our trip. The guesthouse has such a warm, welcoming vibe, and the hospitality really stood out. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Saldanha!

Location is at top of the hill, secured gated estate, with view of the whole Saldanha Bay! There were toiletries, towels, coffee, tea, sugar, milk provided. There is a hair dryer, iron, iron board, cleaning supplies, hot shower, etc. Beddings were top grade, with wall heater and bed heater ( for winter). Fast wi-fi. Everything needed is there.

The location and views were amazing. The dining area and lounge were modern, spacious and pleasant. Very relaxing and tranquil. Good for weekend getaway. Hotel was surprisingly still well maintained, not being part of the Protea group as before.
