We are located in the heart of Franschhoek on a quiet avenue, just a few minutes' walk from Le Quarter Français and the lovely main street lined with boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. Owner Michaela Julian has transformed this former guest house into an eco-friendly, elegant boutique hotel utilizing her extensive international expertize, giving back the warmth and sense of a family home balanced with modest elegance and comfort. Michaela, a Co-Founder of the Franschhoek Hospitality Academy, and her highly educated and professional team offer their local expert recommendations on where to eat, what to do, an exclusive wine tasting, and insider tourist ideas. Each room is named after a local grape variety and has crisp linen, a mini bar with hot and cold beverages, and Charlotte Rhys products. Enjoy a delectable a' la carte breakfast overlooking the manicured garden and swimming pool, or share your experiences with other guests during the complementary sundowner wine tasting showcasing wines from our partner vineyard Haut Espoir, which produces unique handcrafted wines that are in harmony with nature.

We moved to Franschhoek after spending many years in Europe, Middle East and Asia and have come to realize that Franschhoek is a special gem in South Africa. Corner House Residence is located in a quiet residential area only a few minutes away from the bustling main road. The surroundings are picturesque with a stunning view of the Franschhoek mountains from the guesthouse garden and verandah. The garden is lush and green in summer providing a perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The swimming pool invites for a refreshing dip in the hot summers.
