We have converted our Main house into The Grand Marigold Guest house, because we have moved to a farm just outside town. We love the house and know others will too. It is a modern Cape Dutch house and a very comfortable living space.

We have started a permaculture venture on a small farm outside McGregor and are living totally "off the grid". We are self sufficient as we grow our own food, have our own water supply and are using only solar for energy.

McGregor is a vibrant, interesting little Cape Village set in a sleepy valley surrounded by mountains, with beautiful Cape Dutch architecture. The villagers are friendly and can be seen walking their dogs throughout the day. It is quite safe to roam the streets day and night, and to walk to the Pubs and Restaurants. There is a range of different restaurants in this little village, some with outstanding reputations. On Saturdays there is an early village market, where villagers sell their wares and fresh produce. It can be a very social event. McGregor is in the Klein Karoux surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and fruit farms. There are some spectacular walks and cycle trails in all directions. McGregor Tourism hires out bikes and information on these routes. There is a small theatre in town called Wahnfried which has many live musical events, attracting musicians from all over the world. It holds regular film shows each week. McGregor holds many festivals throughout the year, ranging from Wine tastings to poetry festivals. There is a bridge club on Monday afternoon, Scottish dancing on Tuesday evening, a tennis court near by and a dam where all ages enjoy training or
