The Mayflower is situated in the quaint historic Flower Street of Central Hermanus. It was once the Maple Leaf Bakery where locals queued for fresh bread and pastries in days gone by. The Mayflower was recently lovingly renovated by Jenny and Graham and the original part of the upstairs flour store is now two tastefully furbished and fully equipped units namely the Port Side and Starboard Cabins. With gleaming Oregon floors and lovely views of the surrounding area from their wooden decks, the superbly spacious cabins are sunny and offer a wonderful "holiday atmosphere". There is an option of king or twin beds and a sofa couch offers added accommodation on request. The kitchenette is fully equipped with microwave, toaster, kettle, induction cooker, gas grill braai and under counter fridge. All linen and towels are provided. Breakfast can be requested although the cabin is fully equipped for self-catering. The Mayflower is a short stroll to the seafront cliff paths, restaurants and shops and other amenities. Flower Street is lined with historic cottages and is sought after by tourists for accommodation because of it's central locality.

Graham Fenn is a retired Master Mariner and was a pilot in the the Cape Town Harbour for many years. Graham's wife, Jenny Bowes Meyer, is a local artist and her paintings add a colourful splash to the walls of the Mayflower. Jenny is also a keen gardener and is looking forward to seeing the newly planted courtyard grow and blossom. Jenny has been in the hospitality industry for 21 years and owns another guest house that is managed by a friend. Jenny Graham is a model train enthusiast and a model ship builder and enjoys this hobby. The staff at the Mayflower are Vuyelwa, who does the housekeeping and her husband Max, who is wonderful at maintenance and keeping the garden in trim. At no 18 you will also meet Paddy, a husky X pitbull who has a wonderful sociable nature and his little brother Murphy, who is a chocolate Labby. We look forward to welcoming you to the Mayflower.
