Come and enjoy the peace and quite and become one with nature on this 600ha private nature reserve with the clean fresh karoo air . Sit in your private splash pool with a glass of wine while watching the springbuck and blesbuck grazing in the distance . Enjoy your evenings having a braai on the covered deck while gazing at the amazing stars in the karoo night sky with the elusive black backed jackal calling in the distance. During those chilly winter nights enjoy a glass of Montagu muskadel in front of the wood fired stove . Take a hike into the veld and amaze yourself at all the karoo flowers and succulents. For the energetic take a hike up the mountain and enjoy the breathtaking views of Montagu in the distance or ride your mountain bike up the 4x4 trail. Die Botterboom huisie is echo friendly and totally off the grid and only has 12 volt power as well as charging points for your cell phone, laptop or tablet. The reserve boasts more than 15 mammal species and more than 50 bird species for the avid birdwatcher.
Sanet and Patrick treats all guests with typical Karoo charm and hospitality. They go the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable.
The historic town of Montagu voted the best town in the western cape by KFM is only 15km away with its many attractions and restaurants . you are also close to the famous Robertson, Bonnievale wine route .
