IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING. 25 mi Gravel Road to reach Tides River Lodge, Not ideal for low profile cars. Accessible via gravel roads, Tides River Lodge is located on the banks of the Breede River near Malgas and 28 mi away from Swellendam. Activities in the area include fishing, cycling and bird watching . The self-catering accommodations will provide you with a balcony and a seating area. Property info

Tides River Lodge is situated on the banks of the Breede River, just outside the village of Malgas, some two and a half hours from Cape Town and half an hour from Swellendam. We offer a selection of self-catering accommodation options, from cosy two sleepers to lodges that accommodate nine individuals. Bedrooms have queen and/or single beds. All options feature river views, verandahs and braai areas. The Breede River attracts an abundance of waterbirds, including African Fish-Eagles and several kingfishers, hunting a variety of fresh and salt water fish. The river is tidal for up to 60km and fish like Cob and Spotted Grunter can be caught at Tides. Other activities include mountain bike trails, hiking and canoeing. Boat cruises along the river can be arranged for up to ten people.
