Pearly Beach is a rural haven of endless white beaches and indigenous fynbos dunes. Over the years it has managed to maintain its character as a picturesque hideaway. Uitwaaien is a place to kick back and relax. Just a short 250m walk through the fynbos or via street to get to the beach. It is a place to rest and reset, to clear your head and get away from business and all distractions.
Uitwaaien is a Dutch word that means "to take a break to clear one's head" or literally "to walk in the wind" with the intention to refresh yourself and your mind. Philip has Dutch heritage and grew up with this saying and Jeannine and Philip both lived in the Netherlands, in Amsterdam and Haarlem for 5 years when we were just married. We visit Pearly Beach when we need a break from the rush of everyday life — to slow down, unwind and truly relax. Whether it’s long walks on the beach, reading a book, or spending meaningful time with loved ones. We hope our guests experience the same during their stay.
Pearly Beach is a quiet coastal town, perfect for those wanting to slow down, relax and reconnect with nature, friends and family. Days are best spent enjoying long beach walks or runs, taking in the fresh sea air and peaceful surroundings. The town has a few local shops for the essentials, as well as the lovely Whale Coast Brewery, where guests can enjoy good food, craft beer and a laid-back atmosphere.
