Nestling at the foot of the Groenberg mountain, the town of Wellington lies in the picturesque Bovlei valley on the banks of the Kromme River. The majestic Hawequa Mountains are silent sentinels on its eastern border. Val du Charron's 4-star Guest House and 5-star Coach House offer luxury accommodation in Wellington, on a working Wine Estate in the heart of the Bovlei valley. Val Du Charron is ten minutes from the town of Wellington and less than an hour's drive from Cape Town - the perfect accommodation spot in the heart of the Cape Winelands, South Africa. Val du Charron also offers two restaurants and conferencing facilities. The original farm was proclaimed in 1699 and, as only the fifth family to hold title, the owners are conscious to maintain its historic integrity and re-establish the tradition of wine making on the farm itself. This can be evidenced in the rehabilitation of the historic buildings and the character of the architecture of the Estate.

The Estate offers 4-star accommodation at its Guesthouse as well as 5 star accommodation at its Manor House. It has two inviting restaurants onsite with the back drop of 42-hectares of vineyards, olive groves and a cellar producing exquisite wines. The Guesthouse features 40 spacious rooms fitted with King , Queen or Twin Beds as well as Family rooms all en suite with shower and stunning views of vineyards, gardens, pool area or Hawekwa Mountains. The Manor house comprises the two-bedroom original homestead built in 1699. It features a formal lounge, TV lounge, playroom, formal dining room, chef’s kitchen and outdoor living area and private pool. Breakfast is served at the Grillroom restaurant. Visitors have a choice of lunch or dinner venues either at the Grillroom of Pizza Vista restaurants on site. The Grillroom specializes in South African favorites. It is also the showcase for the Estate’s wines. Enjoy a wine tasting on its exquisite deck and cheers to the occasion with a photo at the Estate’s legendary viewpoint. Pizza vista is fun for the whole family with splash pad and play center for the kids to enjoy whilst mom and dad enjoy a laid back Italian feast surrounded by the beauty of the winelands. For the more adventure, you can explore the Wellington Trails by hiking or biking, starting from Pizza Vista.
