Welterusten CC has been established in 1996 and been trading as Welterusten Guesthouse ever since, serving the Strand area as a guesthouse for visitors locally and all over the world. The current owners took over the business in 2004. Under new management since 2018, extensive renovations have been done, and where necessary brought up to safety standards and modernized.

Welterusten Guesthouse is a Victorian home situated in Strand and offers quality accommodation for holidaymakers, business travelers and overnight guests. It is conveniently located near numerous shops, restaurants, the beach, activities and attractions. The accommodation ranges from double, single and family rooms, to cater for all guests' needs. The self-catering unit comprises a double bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The kitchen has a 2-plate stove and mini-oven, a fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee- and tea-making facilities, crockery and cutlery. The lounge area has a double sleeper couch and a separate 2 seater couch. It also features a TV. A single bed can be added for a fifth person on request. It has a dining area where guests can enjoy meals together, as well as a balcony with views of the mountains. Guests are afforded secure parking on the premises.

Tranquil suburb at Melkbaai beach, within walking distance of Strand Square shopping mall, restaurants and coffee shops, railway station and library. Close to Melkbaai beach for safe swimming, tidal pool, Strand surfing club, mini-golf and super tube. Stand is nestled next to the Hottentots Holland mountains which offer opportunities for hiking and the tranquil visit to the Helderberg Nature reserve. During the summer holidays there are Festive lights with street markets in Somerset West and during winter holidays Winter Wonderland festival of lights in Gordon's Bay. Other attractions craft markets in Somerset West and surrounding farms. Take children to Monkey Town (monkey sanctuary) with picnic and play areas. Somerset Mall offers a great shopping experience with movies and fun activities for children. And of course many wine tasting and dine opportunities at our local wine farms.
