It does not get more beach front than this. Enjoy uninterrupted sea views, on what is locally known as ‘the private beach’. See the sun rise and set on the same stretch of horizon. The house offers ample space and is laid out in a split level enabling two families/friends to share while having their own bedrooms and bathrooms. Three bedrooms have direct sliding door access to the lawn and beach. It is great for entertaining or romantic getaways. We are child friendly. Keep them busy with beach and fishing adventures, table tennis, footsie table, basket ball hoop and a 10 foot trampoline. You are guaranteed to leave refreshed and rebooted. The house is decorated in Scandinavian style with light colours and whitewash flooring. There are two seating areas. The kitchen is well equipped. The main area has a cozy combustion fireplace for the colder months. Our indoor and outdoor dinner tables are big enough for entertaining. We have a free standing "drum" braai/bbq.
I am Danish, but made South Africa my home long ago due to love and work. I live in Hout Bay near Cape Town with my Dutch husband Olaf and our three children. Our beach house in Britannia Bay is our piece of paradise where we relax, reload and regroup when work, school and city life gets too much. We are happy to share the feeling! I have tried to incorporate some Danish "hygge" into the house, so you might just leave with that as well. I love reading and writing, paddle boarding, kayaking and "mountain" biking along the beach. Olaf is a keen runner. We have a local lady near the beach house who manages the place, so we may not meet. But we are always available on the phone. All the best, Tanja Wijnen
