I enjoy meeting guests, sharing information on the operation of the farm and the history of the Prince Albert area. Gardening is one of my favourite hobbies. Our guests are always welcome to make use of the herbs in our garden. I love travelling in our beautiful country and browsing local markets in search of treasures that find a new home in our cottages.

Property info

The climate is superb with an extremely high sunshine index, spectacular night skies and pure clean air. Our Karoo lamb, and traditional "braaibroodjies" are delicious delicacies to visitors at Wolvekraal. This property is on a farm, 8 kilometers on a tarred and 1.8 kilometers on a gravel road from Prince Albert. Some summer days can be extremely hot! We provide only fans and not aircon. There is a swimming pool at the reception area to cool down in.

Neighborhood info

We are only 15km from the Swartberg Pass, the Pass is a trademark of the brilliant road engineer, Thomas Charles Bain and is considered one of the finest mountain passes in the world. Gamkaskloof, known colloquially as The Hell, is a fascinating valley set in the Swartberg Mountains, where a small, proud community lived in isolation for more than 100 years. Meiringspoort is another close attraction. Soaring cliff walls with spectacular rock formations line the 25km tarred road which winds along the floor of the gorge, crossing the Groot River 25 times. This spectacular poort serves as a gateway between the Klein and Groot Karoo
