The room and bathroom are spacious and clean with lovely little touches and amenities, aircon/heating, and a little porch with Adirondack chairs and a small table. The garden area is lovely, as is the observation deck, so whether you want to chill on your own or be sociable with others, the setting is just delightful. Jude and Bryan are two of the kindest most helpful hosts I’ve encountered in my travels. I’d had a rough go with travel plans prior to my arrival and, before even showing me to my room, Jude was instantly that friend that says “I got you” and provided lots of guidance on alternative plans and helped me get things sorted out. Both Jude and Bryan are a fountain of information on things to do in the area surrounding Prince Albert and how to successfully navigate the area as a tourist.

What Guests Said About Prince Albert:

What a gorgeous little town!

What a gorgeous little town! One day, when I’m old and quite content to simply sit on a porch and look out at the world, I think Prince Albert might just be the place! There is such a wonderful sense of pride in the town. It is beautifully kept and incredibly clean — even the dustbins, which are decorated and strategically placed all along the main road, somehow add to its charm. The people are friendly, the foodie spots are AMAZING, and the little waterways that channel water through the town to the houses are fascinating to see. They’re also part of the reason Prince Albert stays so wonderfully green throughout the year. You absolutely have to try the sourdough from The Accidental Baker, who sells her wares at the Saturday market. It is worth seeking out! And if you’re active and looking for a proper challenge, do yourself a favour and ride a bike up and over Swartberg Pass — and back again! The scenery is extraordinary; at times you genuinely feel as though you’ve been dropped into the Alps. The Yellow House is an absolute MUST for accommodation and amazing food. Prince Albert completely charmed us and is most certainly a place worth visiting!

A lovely town with immediate access to great gravel cycling - up the Swartberg Pass; to Weltevrede Fig Farm, etc. Lovely art galleries and excellent restaurants. The Lazy Lizard is great; the lamb shanks at the Prince Albert Cafe unbeatable.

Prince Albert is my favourite small Karoo town.

Prince Albert is my favourite small Karoo town. A truly soul-nourishing environment with plenty to do or the special karoo quite if you need to rest and take it easy. High summer can be very hot, and even that is wonderful to invite rest in the heat of the day. For a small town, the food is fantastic and the klein karoo charm will welcome you every time.

Prince Albert is a quaint rural town surrounded by beautiful mountain passes. The town presents an opportunity for drives through the spectacular annd scenic Meiringspoort and the Swartberg Pass which easily link to neighboring towns. The town itself has lovely restaurants and great accommodation options. Should anyone choose self-catering accommodation, there is a well-stocked Spar supermarket. A good spot from which to explore the Karoo!

I would have liked more time to walk in the village.

I would have liked more time to walk in the village. There was a lovely atmosphere; beautiful homes, a Saturday market; evidence of homemade skills. Didn't visit any of the popular places ! We were enjoyjng the accommodation so much. Peter, what about trimming the spekboom windscreen on the stoep, to give more of a view of the veld ?

So central - Its what Prince Albert is about - going back in time to a simple house right in the middle of town. Very basic but authentic and our host was accommodating and provided information on restaurants. Safe parking for my motorbike at the back of the house. The house is shared with a separate bathroom but comfortable and quiet with coffee and tea available in a communal kitchen

Immaculate appointed accommodation and grounds. Amazing farm life on the outskirt of town with a huge duck pond, entire unique Hen Village, Donkeys, and then the surprise every time you walk through the well appointed gardens. Breakfast ranked one of the best in Prince Albert. Yellow House next door for lunch / dinner. We extended our stay purely for this location.

What a gem of accommodation we came across. Situated in the quaint town of Prince Albert. Tracey was fabulous in organising dinner for us and was so helpful and knowledgeable. Accommodation was just lovely and who else offers 4 swimming/splash pools. Breakfast was first class set menu/with egg choices. I have no hesitation in recommending this property

Prins Albert. What else. The hotel is befitting the iconic town. There are unfortunately no EV charging facilities, but the staff assisted and a slow (over-night) charge could be done.
