The community is very proud of their community owned pub, and rightfully so! Breakfast is set out by lovely volunteers, and manager Lucy gave us a wonderful welcome. Lots of nice walks in the area (with a helpful guide to a few walks provided) and it is a good base for adventures into Exmoor.

A place with a character, something missing these days. Very affordable prices plus a hearty breakfast. Excellent customer service, a family atmosphere, a wonderful, romantic garden, and a great bar. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The room was very comfortable, with lovely finishing touches. Dinner was excellent. Breakfast was very nice but the veggie sausage could be improved to a modern plant-based product rather than the old-fashioned mixed vegetable sausage.

The room and ensuite bathroom were a good size and the outdoor area with tables was inviting. Having the pub, with pub food and breakfast available was a good asset. The staff were lovely, the towels were good. Good access to lighting, power points and generous tea and coffee making supplies. We wish the hosts much success.
