United StatesThis was my first time in Cardrona! I picked it because it was a nice place to stay between Queenstown and Wānaka, but it was so cute and fun! Everything is walkable. We had a morning breakfast at the general store. Their meat pies were amazing! We also got food at the hotel nearby and that was fabulous as well! The spa pool was nice and relaxing, especially as the days cooled down.

Free wine tasting in small group(actually only us) was unexpected, and found truely premium Pinot /resieling which changed my perception of NZ wines. Enjoying a cup of tea at the table in the pergola with mountain view and vineyard near by. Missed out public wine tasting which should offer more bottles in the other building, well, probably another time. Staff in reception and restaurant are nice and helpful.

We've had a big and spacious apartment with a good choice of amenities and kitchen utensils. Our room also had a directly connetion to the whirlpool und the big swimming pool, which was pretty cool. The staff was super friendly and helpful, such kind hearted people, really amazing.

A beautifully quiet place - perfect for a romantic getaway. The property is run by wonderful local people who pay great attention to detail. The room includes toiletries and a bathrobe, making it comfortable to head to the hot tub. The breakfast is delicious - you feel pampered and taken care of as if you're in a movie, yet somehow it also feels like home :) There's a nice walk near the lodging which we recommend before breakfast :)

The hotel is both authentically vintage, while being comfortable and not feeling dated.
Beautifully restored hotel while retaining its character.
Hot tub was nice.
Has a very nice outdoor space behind the restaurant
Bed was comfortable.
The restaurant quality was fantastic, some of the best food during our entire trip. Pricey, but worth it.

Absolutely stunning property and Anne the boat is amazing. We had a private room (which you can lock) and our own private bathroom with a spa bath. A huge breakfast of cereals, fruits, toast, yoghurt and eggs with juices, tea and coffee. A real treat to wake up to. The bed is extremely comfortable too. We will definitely be back when in NZ again.

liked how old school it was, like even the tv. Shower was pretty good, mind you the bathroom was good. Atmosphere was awesome, somewhat quiet but once we went to sleep couldn't hear a thing. Was a hot tub available, but we didnt use it. Wifi was fast as reception was dodgy.
