CanadaWelcoming staff and early entry was made available for our room. Beautiful view of the harbour from our room. Breakfast was huge and good value. The reading room is large and relaxing. Just a perfect stay.
Of particular note, the staff was extremely helpful when we unexpectedly had a family emergency. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to all of my friends.

The Inner Harbor area is very busy and with many types of transportation available to anywhere one wants to go. If you can't find the address of the bus stop (711 Government St), it's because the address does not exist. Just find the bus stop in front of the Empress Hotel and you will be there! :-)

When you finished checking out the many shops off government...
When you finished checking out the many shops off government st take a long walk around the inner harbour to fisherman’s warf to see the shops and homes floating on the harbour. Then after a treat, take a water taxi back to the downtown area. A great way to spend an afternoon with lots of restaurant choices and places to pick up a great momento.

We were able to park our car early in the day and explore Victoria while waiting for our room. The front desk staff were very friendly. The floor to ceiling windows with views of the inner harbor and Olympic mountains were spotless.

The location is very good. You can walk to the fisherman’s wharf and the inner harbor. Hotel is very clean. The staff are nice. We had asked if we could park early in the property and they let us which was very convenient as we didn’t need to look for parking while exploring the inner harbor.

The hotel was catty corner from Beacon Hill Park. Despite looking further from the Inner Harbor on the map, it was very close and a quick walk. The full kitchen saved us money by allowing us to eat breakfast and one dinner in. The separate bedroom and living room/kitchen allowed our child to go to bed before us.

The room was spacious and lovely. The breakfasts were delicious. We found all the staff were friendly and helpful. I'm not sure what more I could ask for. The proximity to the inner harbor and much of what we wanted to do was great.

The room (harbor view suite) was very comfortable with 2 balconies! We had a beautiful view of the inner harbor of Victoria and a view of the BC Parliment building which was lit up at night. The hotel is literally across the street from the ferry from Seattle. Easy walking to numerous restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful. Quiet, although the ferry horn could certainly be heard in the daytime. Nice restaurant - Victoria is somewhat pricey and the hotel is no different. Listened to live jazz in the lounge.
