Definitely take the cog train up Gonergatt.

Definitely take the cog train up Gonergatt. Hike down at least two rain stops. The views of the Matterhorn and glaciers is stunning and well worth the walk. Be sure to wear good fitting shoes - it is relatively steep and you do not want your feet sliding forward in your shoes. It you have knee problems I would suggest wearing whatever support you normally use.

It was a great experience as the receptionist was welcoming...

It was a great experience as the receptionist was welcoming and attended to us with a friendly face. As for the place itself, it's beauty was undescribable and left at at awe. It is truly a place to go back which we are hoping to go back to next time. Great job and please do continue the great service and maintaining the place.

Nothing prepares you for just how amazing it is to see this...

Nothing prepares you for just how amazing it is to see this mountain from Gornergrat. Pay the money take the train up and then hike down a few stops to Riffelsberg. The trails are all downhill, well marked and worth the view. Then later in the evening go to the cemetery in the Englander church and remember the 500+ mountaineers who did not make it back to enjoy hot chocolate.

The apartment was great for a family of 4, with 2 teenagers wanting separate bedrooms. Super clean. Easy to access. Yes, it was a 20 minute walk from the train station [heading up the slope], but had we first figured out the bus system, it would have been easier. Zermatt's bus system is free, by the way. Liked the lay-out of the apartment! Free wi-fi! Nice TV. Bit of a view of the Matterhorn from the back balcony. Super comfortable beds. The chocolates and bottle of wine upon arrival was a nice touch!

Convenient location that is close to train station and Coop and Migros grocery stores. Playground close by for our children. The apartment was clean, fully furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed for our meals. Large ~100 SQM apartment on 4th floor with beautiful view of the Matterhorn and village. Peter was an exceptional and gracious host and responded quickly to our requests. Elevator was a bonus compared to some of our other stays in Switzerland. Would stay here again if we are in Zermatt again.

When the hotel says you have a room with a view of the Matterhorn, you get a wonderful view. We had a nice patio and enjoyed much time in the nice location at the edge of town. The hotel staff to get to the apartment was helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Amazingly spacious suite room, as big as a nice apartment penthouse and on only the first floor. Zermatt was a wonderful cozy mountainside village by the world famous giant Matterhorn with plenty of amenities and stuff to do and see. The property felt like an authentic old school alpine cabin. A lot more than what I was expecting for a European budget hotel let alone a village or even top of the line. Best value ever.

The place is very clean, and the kitchen has everything you need to make dinner or breakfast. The balcony offers a beautiful view of the Matterhorn mountain. The bed is comfortable and clean. It only takes about 10 minutes to walk from the train station, and the place is easy to find—just go to the Omnia Hotel. The host will give you a code, and you can take the elevator directly to the apartment.
