Hotels near San Esteban monastery, Salamanca

We were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. In my opinion it looks better in person than the pictures (usually it's the other way around). We got a nicely maintained room with an all-marble bathroom and a spectacular view of the cathedral right from the window. The hotel appears to be built beside and over a ruin of an old church, which is cool in itself, and looks like it's used as the restaurant terrace when the weather is warmer. It's a 5-10 min walk from here to all of Salamanca's attractions. There's an elevator here, which is good for luggage. Staff are accommodating.

Excellent location, the room size and condort surpassed the expectations. Really clean and spacious bathroom. Can't recommend it enough.

The room was quite large and comfortable, and the matress was perfect. Breakfast was generous and the staff was welcoming and very hospitable.

Everything, glorious classic "old school" Spanish hotel in the heart of the city (10-15min walk from Plaza Mayor), beautifully finished with marble, brass, glazing, chandeliers, reception looks like it should be on the Titanic! Rooms and corridor floors all hardwood parquet (impossible not to squeak when walking), impressive bar, astonishing breakfast choice, A/C, free WiFi that worked well. Secure underground carpark with lift access to all floors. Good value for it's location, will definitely come again when in Salamanca, stayed one night in June, wish it had been longer.

The hotel is located in the center of the universe. It is literally part of the Salamanca world heritage site. This is just amazing. As soon as we walked out of the hotel entrance, we walked right into the thick of the action where everything is happening and we loved it. Plaza Mayor, Convento de San Esteban, University of Salamanca, etc. Everything is right there. The hotel room is also spacious and the window gives us a view of the old town. The bathroom sink is huge which makes things a lot easier.

Location is amazing, besides the old cathedral, really close to everything in Salamanca. Breakfast was really good and the staff very nice.

Very silent, good bed, clean, great breakfast buffet, central yet relatively peaceful location.

I was given an upgrade which was much appreciated. Excellent room even had a fridge and a bath . A nice big room. Staff were excellent so was breakfast, and very good value WiFi was perfect Great position very close to Plaza Mayor and the main fresh market It was excellent value , very cheap for what you got

The actual hotel was beautiful. Staff was also great, and gave us an upgrade to the cathedral.
