Reading signs posted on the Self guided tour gave a great history of Kilkenny, the family, royal connections, and history of the local area. Beautiful architecture, period decor, furniture, paintings, sculpture etc. The gardens and childrens' playground was definitely worth the time to enjoy!

Such a high end experience! Beautiful hotel with comfortable room, ours overlooked Kilkenny Castle. The breakfast, included free of charge, was magnificent. Loved their indoor and also outdoor area overlooking the water for lattes and sitting. Very upscale experience, worth the money. Plus... parking Is included...that was a little confusing to me before we arrived, so hope that helps any one else wondering. It's a lot in front of the hotel and they give you a voucher so you don't pay.

Location was exceptional, 12 minute walk to Kilkenny centre, grocery, pubs, shopping. Very close to Kilkenny Castle & beautiful walking paths. Eat in kitchen our main use.Very comfortable beds, slept well in quiet & safe neighbourhood. No problem getting parking. Great base for day trips to other towns.

The location is excellent. It is a short 15-minute walk from the train station and situated in the center of town, just steps away from Kilkenny Castle and a super short walk to Kytelers and Smithwicks. The hotel is a bit old but is very clean and attractive. Bed was very comfortable. You are given tickets for a welcome drink at the bar once you check in. We had our included breakfast the next morning at the restaurant where they had an assortment of fruit, breads and cereals, but were also given a menu from which you could order.

The hotel is in a great location with easy access to Kilkenny Castle and lots of restaurants, bars and shopping. The staff was very helpful and the room was comfortable. There is a lively bar on the ground floor with good food.

Very close to Kilkenny Castle, several churches and the bus stop. They gave us coupons for free drinks and the hotel bar and restaurant are great. I highly recommend.

Excellent breakfast. Hotel is in the city centre on a river canal and in part overlooking the Kilkenny Castle. We had booked a room weeks in advance asking for a room with a view but received a double room overlooking the carpark, which was disappointing. Very nice seating for drinks and snacks next to the river. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

This property is located in the middle of everything! Grocery right across the street, coffee house right around corner, Kilkenny Castle an easy few minutes walk away. Property owner is very kind and provided as much information as we needed to make our time in Kilkenny remarkable. We will definitely look to stay here again if we make another trip to Ireland.

This was our first stop in Ireland. Kilkenny is a great place, and the hotel is within walking distance to everything. Kilkenny Castle was just around the corner. We soon found out that we had brought the wrong kind of adaptor -- the desk was able to find us one to use and let us keep it for the rest of our trip. They also let us keep our car in the parking area after checkout time to tour the city. Breakfast was great.
