The location is great, you are 5 mins away from the colissium, and about 15 to 20 mins walking to most other big places, but along the way there a ton other things to see. There is a good selection of restaurants very close to the hotel. The staff was very helpful with everything. They can help you call a taxi for the airport if you need one. (all taxis have a flat fee of €50 to the airport).

Roman Forum

More palace than museum, El Prado is a true cultural treasure trove. Its hallways hold one of the world’s finest collections of European art, from the fantastical figures of Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights to the dark, twisted beauty of Goya’s legendary Black Paintings. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg either – in the evening, entrance is usually free.

The epicenter of the ancient Roman Empire.

The epicenter of the ancient Roman Empire. You see in the picture how it looks now. By the year 800 A.D. goats and cows were grazing on the spot where Julius Caesar was assassinated by the Roman Senate. The Italians themselves vandalized the Roman buildings of antiquity to use in later building projects. So you get a more philosophically correct view of the theme of "History."

Be prepared for a long walk. It is worth it.

Be prepared for a long walk. It is worth it. Make sure you have water with you, as there is very little shade, and in summer it gets very hot. The day we went, it was 40 degrees celsius. From here you can easily walk to the Coliseum, but make sure that you have prebooked tickets to both

Gone are the days of strolling through the Forum and sitting as the ancients did among the temples and spirits, remains of daily pre-modern life. But if you can take the time to get into the Forum in a quiet, personal way, it is an experience worth having. As a tourism tour, not so much. Try to enjoy ancient Rome quietly and peacefully, on your own with time and space to receive from it.

The location was perfect. The hotel was everything I expected in Rome, from the quaint furnishings and the marble staircase, to the sidewalk cafe and coffee bar next door, and right around the corner? The Colosseum and the Roman Forum! I loved everything about it, especially the water pressure in the shower and the friendliness and hospitality of all the staff and housekeepers. I recommend Hotel Romano 100%.

The close proximity to many sites. You walk out the door and down the street and you are at the Roman Forum then you look the left and there is the Coliseum. We could go and tour the sites then come home and relax for a while and then head out again in the evening. The apartment was very large and perfect for our family of 4. Our teenage daughters even had the own beds.

We really enjoyed our stay at Risorgimento 55, which exceeded our expectations. The room was quite large, comfortable, and quiet. The property is literal steps away from the Vatican and a short taxi ride to the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, and Roman Forum. Check-in was completely virtual and detailed instructions were sent about arriving to the hotel, entering the property, and getting into the room. Highly recommend staying here: for the value for money, you can't beat it!

Margana Tower is in an incredible location. We walked almost everywhere—the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum, Colosseum, Piazza Venezia, Campo de’ Fiori, and countless restaurants were all just minutes away. The apartment itself is comfortable, clean, and full of character, making it feel like you’re truly living in the heart of historic Rome. We’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Rome on foot.

The location is unbeatable. This was our 4th visit to Rome and had never stayed in that area. The proximity to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum is just steps away, very nice trattorias and gelato in the vicinity, all recommended by the staff which by the way were extremely helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was also excellent with lots of options and the coffee was outstanding - a place to come back for sure
