Hotels near Ganshoji Temple, Tokyo

Kizen Villa was an incredibly pleasant stay. My friend and I booked a room last minute and were surprised with how much we loved this place. We will definitely try to book here the next time we are in Tokyo. The whole unit was very spacious. The problem with most places in Tokyo is all accommodations are very tight in space; you can't even open up your luggage full in most places/hotels. But not here. The bedroom fit 2 queen/full sized beds with plenty of room to open up your luggage. The traditional Japanese family room, living area and dining space were just as open. Everything is also very clean and the building is very quiet. Quiet hours are between 10pm and 10 am. So it's a great place if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The building is connected to a cute little cafe called Kizen Cafe, so it's kind of like a bed and breakfast vibe. You do have to make a reservation to eat at the cafe however. The owner and staff are really friendly and very helpful, and I recommend going down to the cafe and sitting there with a cup of tea. As far as transportation, there's a metro station a short walk away and Nakano Broadway is one stop away. If you do end up taking an Uber or taxi, do not have them drive into the alley up to the inn. The street is very narrow. Just have them drop you off in front of Family Mart on the main street, the inn is barely a two minute walk from there.

Staff, clean , meeting rooms , wedding rooms and from lobby one level down to shopping and to metro station from where you can go anywhere in Japan.

Within walking distance to the train station, major shopping area and food places. They have English speaking staff. Front office staffs are very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable beds - not firm - exactly how we prefer it. Spacious room for 2 adults + 2 teens + 6 big pieces of luggage. The bathroom has a huge round tub, separate from the shower area. Grand lobby, IG-worthy. Park view. Fast wifi. Location is in the quieter part of Shinjuku, along other 5-star hotels in the area. Hotel provides free shuttle to Shinkuju station, abt 5mins travel. Walking to the main station takes 10mins. Hotel also has airport buses to haneda and narita for a minimal fee of about less than 2k yen per person. Highly recommended for families

Great space for our family vacation and the washer and dryer was a great addition.

The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. They provided gifts, tea, and a giant stuffed bear for the kids to play with. Perfectly clean and furnished apartment. Location couldn’t be better for food and shopping. Highly recommend! Some construction going on so I believe it’s about to get even better!

The staff were very helpful from check in, breakfast and even helping to set up a luggage transfer for us. The room was clean and comfortable with a sofa and bed, a soaking tub and shower. The signs were easy to understand and were in multiple languages. Everything was comfortable. The location was great being close enough to the station we didn't have to worry about getting lost or being late; and far enough away that we were able to get some peace in a busy area.

I didn't realize that this was a room for smokers, well, i smoke so you bet i enjoyed my own private little oasis in a country where public smoking places are rare to come by. The location was great, very close to public transport, and with the windows closed, air conditioner on and dehumidifier on, it was an incredible room.

Room amenities and layout were good, the view was fantastic. Hot water was a good temperature.

Was absolutely fantastic everything was nearby. The train station is very close, and the staff were super nice. The movies and karaoke was super fun!!!

I forgot the plug and they unplugged it right away
