The hotel in the heart of Shinjuku, just a five-minute walk from Shinjuku station. Despite being in such a busy and noisy area, my room was completely quiet thanks to the soundproof walls and windows. The room was super well-equipped with everything I needed, and both the room and bathroom were spacious and well-designed. There were plenty of electric outlets too, which was really convenient. Check-in and check-out were super fast, making the whole experience smooth and hassle-free.

Great location. Staff was helpful. The rooms were clean albeit a little bit small. But I’m a solo traveler so no problems with that. I loved that there was a bath which is so mice after a long day of walking. I’m glad they are eco-friendly and don’t come clean every day. Not necessary for my part. There was a laundry machine which is convenient to use with your key card.

Very well located, private and cozy with fun features like traditional robes, doorbells in each room, very complete set of toiletries, coffee machine, etc. It's allowed to smoke in the rooms which was perfect for my brother who is a smoker. Even though smoking is allowed, the rooms do not smell like smoke, so it was a perfect solution for my family.

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in Tokyo. It has a very central placement, right in the middle of kabukicho. It is traditional with tatami flor and futons. and the bedroom is HUGE. bigger than any other hotel Ive been in tokyo. I will book this hotel everytime im in Tokyo now. The staff was super nice and they even stored our luggages on our last day for us to enjoy Tokyo before the flight.

Avoid the Nigerian Barkers.

Avoid the Nigerian Barkers. I ended being followed by one constantly at night while exploring. They will touch you meaning they will brush up on you and grab your arm, which is not ok. They like foreign males in particular. I ended telling him I was gay and not interested in his offer of women. They are trying to pull you into their bar to get drugged. Even if the prostitute offer was valid that isn't for me.

I booked a trip here with my family, without knowing it is Shinjukus red-light district. To be honest, it wasn't that bad--you see touts on the street and lots of hosts/hostesses dressed up as boy band members or maids, after a certian time of night, and they're quite proloific in Kabuki-cho, but they never engaged us, nor we them. Hot tip: don't engage them or go into any bars they recommend unless you want $1000 bills on your credit card. My impression is that Tokyo's seedier places are relatively tame in comparison to other countries seedier areas. If anything, the whole place became like a unique spectacle at night for us Europeans. Seeing this side of Japanese culture purely as an observer was intruiging. I wouldn't go around at night with younger teenagers though, as that might feel innapropriate. Older teenagers over 17 will be fine with parents though. I didn't get chance to visit Golden Gai, because the 10-15 foreign touts circling the entrance way put my wife off going in.

Definitely an interesting area for nightlife in Tokyo.

Definitely an interesting area for nightlife in Tokyo. Once you've navigated Shinjuku station, you'll find yourself having to navigate the streets and alleys of Kabukicho. If you want a place to drink, hit up Golden-gai, but be prepared to wait for a seat at the bar or to pay a service charge.

Golden Gai is an eclectic small enclave that houses many cool little bars. Don't be afraid, there is a basic bar charge ranging from 500 yen, its your entrance charge. Drinks are priced with some menu items. My favorite is a photography centric bar called Kodoji. Hands down a very cool place to walk around and learn about japanese culture. Great location, with both Shinjuku station and Kabukicho in walking distance, but far enough to avoid any noise at night. 7-ELEVEN just around the corner, and a 24-7 supermarket only a bit further out. Tastefully decorated rooms, with large comfortable beds. Lots of electric sockets. Flawless WiFi. Staff were very friendly, and I had no problem extending my stay by 1 night.
