Excellent location near Ikibukuro station and within the Sunshine city complex. Definitely Value for money.

Good location if you choose to shopping around Ikebukuro but if moving al lot of places , this location is a bit far from Ikebukuro Station

The place is very new and clean / bed is comfortable we stay in twin room with 1 toddler and it's enough space to manage things, not that big but enough/ the bath room water runs well and good pressure love it. Very convenient to go to subway. There are subway exit in front of hotel but not elevator so we need to walk to the main Ikkeburo station cause we have stroller, but no problem at all cause it's super near.

This is a budget hotel, but value was great. Twin room was ok for 2 people (rooms are always tiny in Tokyo) and location is great near Ikebukuro train station. Staff was great as well.

Easy and friendly place. Located near heart of Ikebukuro. Nice space for its cost- it’s hard to find a good sized with the right price twin bedroom anywhere in Japan. These rooms were perfect for two so we rented three twin bedrooms for six people. The Hotel was small but mighty in every way.

Very convenient location, shopping everywhere around. Very quiet even though it was in the city. I loved the bathroom, the shower and bath were great. The amenities were also amazing. The staff was also very kind.

The property has a good location especially if you are fun of animé including sanrio characters as there’s a Sanrio Café closed by. Convenience store like 7-11 and Lawson are within the area (walking distance) which was cool especially if you want to get some hot/cold snacks late at night. It’s a bit of a walk to get into the nearest train station (Ikebukuro) but there are so many things to see on the way so it doesn’t get boring. I love that the hotel has vending machines both for food and drinks. The room was not spacious but it was comfortable for myself, my husband and my 8-year old daughter. I was happy we were able to find a decent queen bed room as most properties offer bunk beds.

I like that had a good price/quality, and the location is very convenient. It has microwave and refrigerator, the bed is confortable.

This is a lovely guest house. The rooms were clean and well- equipped with a spacious bathroom and shower. Yuko was a friendly, helpful and generous host. She was especially kind to our 7 year old son. There was an honesty snack bar at the front door with cheap products and beautiful origami decorations in the hallway. We absolutely loved our stay at Kainoa and will definitely stay there next time we visit Tokyo.

The staffs are nice. A lot of toiletries and big room. Highly recommended.

It’s a large room and convenient.

It might be a love hotel (you can sort of guess given the very late allowable check-in time at 6 p.m. and the condoms found inside the room), but it's really just as great for traveling couples who need a convenient place to stay (in luxury) around the Ikebukuro area. Our room has not one, but two jacuzzi pools (both with massive TV screens for an entertaining soak), one larger in an outdoorsy area where you can have a bit more privacy extending the electric canopy cover, the other in a regular bath area. The room is furnished with a huge TV and karaoke system in the living area, and they even have a massage chair for you. Frankly, if we didn't plan on going about the city, we'd love to have just stayed hours in this room which is massive compared to typical hotel rooms in Japan and very clean (given the nature of its business). It's really endearing they provided us with sweets and free ice cream as a token of welcome as well (you also get an assortment of drinks, cocktails, and other room service for cheap). Because of the late check-in time, you get to check out at a generous hour of 12 p.m. Overall, well worth every penny I spent on it.
