John was a very hospitable host and always ready to help with food, transportation, and anything else that made our stay in Sigiriya smooth and enjoyable. From the beginning, the location was exceptional. Where the hotel was located was very nice. The view of the hotel facing the rock was stunning, pool view from the bar was exceptional. The buffet was great. The dinner was a bit over priced, however the service was great. The location was perfect for us to go for an early morning hike to the the Lion Rock. The breakfast buffet was great, very authentic. Highly recommend.

Travelling from Sigiriya to the 'cultural triangle' and the...

Travelling from Sigiriya to the 'cultural triangle' and the National Park was amazing. Carry small notes so you can buy ice cream or ice blocks as well as some very lovely souvenirs made by locals. The elephants were plentiful and looked healthy and 'happy'

We liked everything about this stay. Nice, clean and big room and bathroom which are very comfortable and of good quality. We took a daily trip to Dambulla Caves, to Polonnaruwa ancient site and an elephant safari in Minneriya National Park with Manju, all went so good. Manju arranged a transport for us also to our next stop. He is an honest, reliable and pleasant person. We stayed 6 nights and every night we ate dinner there. I must mention about Dila's (Manju's wife) tasty meals. We wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Great location for Sigiriya rock and Minneriya National Park. Breakfast was great and the dinner menu`s were quite substantial. It is at the edge of the forest so not many restaurants nearby. This property has only cottages which are large and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The location was great for trips to Dambulla, and Sigiriya, and Minneriya national park. It was very spread out and it felt like no one was staying there. There were 2 pools, one was very refreshing and the main one got a little warm, bot h were very clean. The bathrooms were dated but fine, there was hot water. We had 3 rooms and 1 of the rooms had a fridge. The staff were friendly and mostly spoke pretty good english. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool and really enjoyed it and the monkeys that would come and say hi.

This was the perfect place in the quite remote area of Sigiriya. With only 4 rooms, the staff was very attentive. Bernard (owner/manager?) helped us set up a tuk tuk as well as a safari to Minneriya National Park. Room was clean, air conditioning worked well. Pool was a nice touch, and the food at the restaurant was good as well.

I loved absolutely everything about this property, it has very chill and nice vibe. The owner - Dinesh - is an amazing host! He is so kind and helpful! He helped me to arrange everything that I needed - the car trip from Nuwara Eliya to Sigiriya, elephant safari in Minneriya National Park, a car drive to Trincomalee. He also helped me to exchange money at a very good rate, he really was here for me during all my stay! P.S. The breakfast was sooooo good as well!
