NetherlandsThis is a super hotel. We had a quiet room, a very very! comfortable bed, friendly staff and the location in Te Anau is great (close to restaurants and shops). Parking space around the hotel is limited but we easily found a place each day. It was a pity to leave.

If you don't want the full track take the water taxi to Brod...
If you don't want the full track take the water taxi to Brod Bay and walk the track back to Te Anau. About 2-3 hrs depending on photo stops. Forest at Brod Bay particularly atmospheric. Track goes through Bird Sanctuary which is well worth a visit.

Well appointed and handy location with friendly staff and reasonable prices. The motel is somewhat dated but it appears most are in Te Anau. However the beautiful and peaceful town is the ideal location to explore Milford, the Routeburn track, Manapouri and the Kepler track.

This room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Jane even put on a load of washing for us! The view of the garden from the window was delightful. A light breakfast of cereal, milk, fruit and yoghurt was supplied along with plenty of tea and coffee. We were able to have a fantastic night's sleep and recharge after our adventure on the Kepler Track.

A wonderful, fully equipped house with beautiful lawn and garden. After three weeks on the road in hotels and B&Bs, the property was a great opportunity to relax in the comfort of a house, make our own meals including bbq, catch up on laundry and take a breath from the busy travel schedule. Less than 2 hrs to Milford Sound and 5 mins to start of Kepler Track. Hosts have taken care to provide all amenities, including toys and games if traveling with children.

Easy walk to lake and less than 15 min to restaurants and shops. Great place to stay for price. Te Anau is beautiful! We hiked a section of the Kepler track on one day and spent a day in Milford sound on another day. Glad we stayed 2 days to see the area. It is an older facility, but well kept and the staff was fantastic.

Close to the Kepler track and other hiking areas. Great views from the cottage. Friendly staff, the accommodation is basic but clean and well priced. There is WiFi at the barn where a large kitchen and rest area is provided.
